Preludes by Aura Mae ( FKA Ieva Dubova )

The 10 Preludes are inspired by the mystic chord of Scriabin and use it in a variety of ways and transpositions to express the story of the creation of the world up to the age of humans.

They move from texture-representing compositions to more full-grown melodic works as they progress and are given titles to represent this journey.

resonance of the strings and giving careful thought to each note."

Aura Mae is a Newcastle-based composer, pianist, and sound artist whose work bridges modern piano composition, cinematic soundscapes, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
