Failure
My father says I’m a dreamer
Mama says I’ll never be a good singer
They trained me for submission
Acceptance, never rejection
Unimaginative, unimpassioned
But I became a deception
An “always opposing” little creature
So that’s why I say it’s a failure

Recently
As I get to know the reality
All the sorrow and inhumanity
As they’re strongly weighing my shoulder
I feel I can’t bear it any longer
They’re trying to kill my future
Maybe I should have listened to my father
As I toss and turn in the poverty
The dreams are coming to save me

Dreams tell me what to do
They never let me listen to you
They know what I need to do
They show what I need to do

Tomorrow
When it seems nothing’s left to follow
We still hear the voices but hollow
‘Cause they are oppressed by the reality
The choking rough brutality
In our market ruled society
Only our dreams give us vitality
They feed us with hope for tomorrow
They’re about to kill the sorrow

Dreams tell me what to do

I close my eyes and I see
Billions of distressed hungry people around me
They lost everything they had
And they have a dream they get everything back

And I see others those satisfied ones
Exploiting the Earth and its folk with violence
And if they dream more money, oil and pasture
They make guns, wars ‘cause they have the power

I see you dear mother and father
Do you believe this world has a future?
Do you want me to consume that?
Like a manipulated ignorant puppet

And I see myself holding on
Singing the songs about a world that’s going wrong
Dreams brought me so far, dreams made me struggle
So I’d rather remain a dreamer

Oh father let me show you
Sometimes the dreams can come true
