Fundamentum 003 is the second various artist record release of the Berlin based label Atmophile Electronics. All 4 tracks are created by local musicians focusing on playful modular synthesis.
Jessica Kert's opening track is a composition that isn't focused on dancefloors but instead entices the listener into a slowly progressing story, heavily loaded with dreamy synth lines. Next up is label co-owner Sharad Sood with a song that has a powerful kick-bass structure wrapped with complex yet soothing melodic atmospheres. Leading off the B side is Kangding Ray with a DJ friendly track with a bass loaded punching groove and a friendly, sweet vibe. Closing the record is Naty Seres, the label founder, with a tune that keeps the atmospheric idea of the label at heart but experiments with driving rhythms and darkly resonating sounds.
