"Shelter" is an introspective journey into the depths of the soul. The solitude that so deeply anguishes the human spirit, which can cut through the soul like a knife, can also become the healing of deep wounds.

The wilderness can be cruel and relentless to humans, which, increasingly distancing themselves from it, chooses to live in artificial environments. Yet, despite this, we remain part of nature, and we can find peace and solace when we truly connect with the earth, the trees, the animals...

Through melancholic melodies, "Shelter" tells the story of a man who, while on the frontlines, learns that his entire family has been killed. Shattered, he abandons the battlefield and ventures deep into the forest. There, amidst anguish, grief, and mourning, he finds his place, embracing the wild, Far away from the most ruthless and destructive species ever to inhabit planet Earth.


"Shelter" draws subtle inspiration from the story of Dick Proenneke, a man who chose to live in solitude, becoming one with nature in the remote mountains of Alaska.

ASTORG is a solo acoustic dark folk project by Víctor Navaz, former member of the black metal band EMPTY.
Astorg draws from a wide range of influences, including the acoustic passages of '90s black metal, classical music, shred guitar, progressive rock, and flamenco.
The project delves into the grandeur of nature, blending these elements to create a unique and evocative sound.
