JJ Duerinckx Practicing mainly sopranino and baritone saxophones, my first influences were
Steve Lacy, John Surman, Anthony Braxton and Hamiet Bluiett. My meetings with saxophonists Lol Coxhill and later Michel Doneda were decisive for my aesthetic choices, guiding me in a world where abstract melodies and sound materials coexist and interpenetrate.
