My life is a story of transformation and submission
I was saved as a young man from the evil of my own plans

God's faithfulness on full display
He's been with me day after day
I've been to the far corners of the earth
Grateful for His grace that gave me second birth

I've followed his leading, I've preached his name
Going where he sends me and following His ways

I followed God and I was thrown and prison
My companions with me were locked away

Yet we prayed and praised and our chains fell off
We prayed and praised and the doors unlocked

Though while in prison we despaired for life
In our weakness and our worship, God saw our plight
He broke the chains from our wrists, the walls around us split
Having the opportunity to escape we didn't take it
That witness led the jailer to take on new life
Instead of throwing it away and widowing his wife
If you're willing to be used, you'll see lives transformed
He'll be faithful through the trials and the violence of the storm

The storms of life
The winds of the enemy
The waves of the sea
Even when it seems as though we're going underneath

Caught in a raging storm
Tossed by the angry waves
Tormented by the wind
Driven towards land

We made it out alive

So the lesson is trust in God
He's there in the midst of hardship
Giving strength where we would fail
Giving hope when death seems real
Building us up when we are weak
He is the fullness we constantly seek

My life has been anything but easy
Following God is never easy

But all the suffering was worth it
Knowing my pain bore witness to my savior
My God made a way for me
If pain's my price I'll gladly pay
Everything in this world will come to pass
Suffering lasting but a moment
My life is but a vapor
In the face of eternity
