When skies are blue and the whole world’s sunny
I can laugh at stuff that aren’t even funny

Wake up in the morning with the sun in my eyes
A little hung over from the previous night
The warm daylight is a welcome surprise
I rush out the door to get into light
The sun is so great nothing can beat it
I open up my arms in an attempt to greet it
When the sun comes out I forget my strife
And remember that it gave me gift of life
I’m not doing much but it’s lots of fun
Everything is better in the glow of the sun
And you get a friendly greeting from who ever you meet
If you’re walking on the sunny side of the street
