23/7 from Wrong Enemy by Arch Rockfeller
Powerful singer Anna Tumanova makes her first recorded appearance on one of my songs, strengthening the sound of the chorus. (You will hear more from her on the next album...)
The melody for this one dates back decades. But I never got around to finishing the song until this particular lyric idea occurred to me. About a romantic partner who is perhaps a little too demanding. (Almost a companion piece to an earlier tune, "Project", which appeared on "Unsweetened".)
In the process, the original melody ended up being obliterated, and only used for the guitar solo.
