Tochairm by ANÚNA

Out of nowhere ANÚNA drops a new album entitled Tochairm.

Some years ago we released an album called Evocation, an attempt to bring together some of the ambient and epic tracks that define part of what we do. This recording takes Evocation, dismantles it, prunes it back and creates a stunning, sustained sonic image using nearly 30 years of recordings dating from 1996 to 2025.

Michael has created Tochairm, a 15 track, hour long collection of his music that will take you into his world and inspirations.

Tochairm is an Early Irish word meaning to call something into being, to bring a presence forth through the power of the human voice. It encapsulates Michael's philosophy as a composer, as he uses music to evoke feelings deeply connected to the natural world around us.

This compilation features some extraordinary musicians we have worked with over the past three decades, including Gilles Servat (Sensation), Linda Lampenius (Look Away), the Ulster Orchestra (1901), Kenneth Edge and Noel Eccles (Silver River), and a trio of harpists Denise Kelly, Anne-Marie O’Farrell, and @andrejamalir . Above all, this disc is a reflection of the artistry of the singers who have helped created this unique recording.
