Plain Guitar by Antony Milton
A collection of stark unadulterated guitar pieces recorded mid-winter 2022 in Masterton on the great plain of the Wairarapa.
I initially considered calling this 'Fancy Free' but decided that was perhaps a little cheesy and beyond the pun actually somewhat misrepresentative of the contents...
Plain guitar is what its is- raw electric guitar with no string bending or wobbly fretwork. Mainly stark notes or simple patterns repeated until they start to come apart. Besides the onboard distortion and crappy reverb (used sparingly) on my amp the only pedal involved is a sustain pedal . The number of notes in each piece was intentionally limited.
I paid particular attention to the decay of each note.
