Nightime Rhyme from Shadow Falls by Antler Hill

Boogeyman - A child’s room, a place of fun and games, dreams and nightmares. Nightmares we’ve all had, the fear of having a foot out from under the safety of the cover. For when the shadows drip down the walls to grab you and try to pull you under the bed. At the hands of what some call the Boogeyman who hides in the dark corners of your room. Does he every really go away.. or just change shape. When the mind cannot distinguish real from imaginary… ...but for now I’m afraid It’s time for bed in Shadow Falls.

I close my eyes to go to sleep
but he may be hiding in my dreams
not a shadow under the bed
or a monster in the closet
he's already in my head
my mind I think.. I've lost it..
