Prayer from Prayer by Annellia

Do we pray only in need? Is it a religious act or a confession of mortality?
We are seeking God for answers to life’s challenges or are we talking to ourselves?
All the above could be the answers if an answer is needed.
Our prayer time is a deeply personal state of mind. A song for our soul, a cry for compassion.
When Annellia sat in his piano the first melody he composed was a lullaby for his baby daughters. A prayer actually for them to sleep tight. “When you pray you don’t ask for much”, Annellia says “you wish for things that are important – love, happiness, health, peace. Prayer has the amazing power of making your world slow down. When life is moving too fast, spend some time in prayer. The reflection will always help” he adds.
The reflection also helps creativity.
The improvised piano melody Annellia composed soon dominated his mind and soul. Before the guitar, before the Irish flute he needed emotions. A sound effect of natural rain did the work.
“Rain washes away our guilt and present us clean and pure before our thoughts, before nature, before God”, Annellia explains the natural sound of rain in his composition.
The drops, the thunder throughout “Prayer” are the sounds that no instrument can bring in life. Yet instruments dominate.
The Irish flute tunes transform in a musical sob, a tin whistle to the wind to carry away our wishes. The unique, traditional identity of the flute reminds us that praying is in human nature. A deeper need that awakes with our birth.
Foivos Zaharopoulos plays the guitar. It’s the third and last instrument in “Prayer” that gives emphasis and duration in a theme full of emotions .

Annellia is a Greek musician. He comes from a musician family, following the tradition of his father and grand father
This is the first time he composes his own music. His influences come, from fusion,cinematic and world traditional music. He uses samples from world, mostly Mediterranean sounds as he blends them using classical instruments in order to tell a story. Yes Annellia is a story teller,
