Written between 1993 and 1995, and recorded in 1996, Heartland 64 is Animal Soup's first Nintendo 64 soundtrack. Between vignettes of the Mushroom Kingdom experience and dystopian depictions of Bowser's Castle, the new Animal Soup brings you commentary on the Mushroom Kingdom in the 1990s. While musically steeped in the band’s typical blend of jazz, pop, and orchestral music, the soundscapes are inspired by the writers of classic Nintendo folklore such as Koji Kondo and Shigeru Miyamoto.
