The trio comprises trumpeter John D’earth who also plays flugelhorn, flutes, and percussion, Bonnie Gordon on viola, and Michelle Oliva on bass clarinet. Their freely improvised jazz-and-chamber-music-inflected sound reflects a cacophony of influences: early jazz, Miles Davis, Eric Dolphy, Ornette Coleman, medieval music, Arnold Schoenberg, John Cage, Charles Ives.
