“Simple Pleasures” is the first album that I released with Parker Joe of State of the Artist (then P. Riddy and Catharsis) under the group name Rhyme and Recreation. There are some pretty good guitar parts on this album, and it makes it sound pretty organic. Despite less than stellar production quality, I definitely like the combination of singing and rapping on several tracks, which sort of puts a lot of them across multiple genres. This album was recorded in Seattle, Washington. My favorite tracks are “Give it Up,” “Wasting Time” and “How We Began.”
