Lyrics
He tries to memorize every step he takes, making sure not to stop on a crack, always making sure he keeps an eye watching over his back. He breathes heavy to convince himself there is blood in his veins, but he longs to feel life. He waits by the road - searching for a light, anything which to confide. Abandoned, he clutches his chest, as to persuade the thought that there is something left, in hope such thoughts would rest. Is this "life"? Is this the hope we have in what is ahead? His skin: a shell he wishes he could shed. My daydreams haunt me, as my memories sleep in my bed. My daydreams haunt me as I've lost my head. Clear away the dirt, bury the dead.
