a skill called a mind palace
it's built incredibly
with rooms in your synapses


Meant to help with memory
your faculties expanded
but what if what I want to build
instead is a mind planet?


For the stars in my eyes
for the world inside my head
for the space where I'd revive
all the dreams I put to bed


Too long in a room
now shoot for the moon
Saturn may have rings
but my mind will have wings


Mind palaces
strengthen recollection
mental imagery
and visual contraptions


But I want the invisible
the things I took for granted
need a visit from the muse
to help with my mind planet
