Emotion Control by Ambu Bambu

Ambu Bambu's productions live in the space between connection and dislocation, fusing bass with breakbeats, intensity and fierceness with lightness and release. This EP opens with 'Cita' a dancehall-infused tearjerker full of melancholia. When the sun starts to set and you haven’t accomplished what you set out to do at the beginning of the day, you decide to try and cheer yourself up by hitting the club. You’re still sad, but the music is a comforting friend. The lead single 'Laugh It Off' hides inner unrest behind a cool, unshaken surface. And lastly, the title track 'Emotion Control' closes this beautiful release with a push-and-pull between rational calculation and raw release, mapping the moment the heart overrules the head.
