Setting off again, against the wind,
gone with the cloak of night,
fully loaded, forward rolling,
onward, to the breaking light.
Falling further, deeper down,
along with the sound,
but darkness creeps in on me
and I’m swallowed in too deep.
Beyond my strength lays the final piece,
just out of reach.

A hazy sky in disarray,
melting with the road.
Nothing left, but to slip and to fade away;
waking up to smoke.

Now, against my will, I’m drifting still
into another world;
far inside my mind I’m left behind,
here, as the road unfurls.
Becoming another lifeless drone,
but trying to make it home.
And darkness creeps in on me
