V Sticking the headphones deep into my head,
I step on the black strap of the treadmill.
I turn up the volume way past the norm:
Let my head ring like a freaking church bell.
I am running fast with fierce and anger,
Punching the invisible criminal in his face
Am I running back or running forward?
Running in a hamster wheel or a rat race?
C Meanwhile, life goes on, and there are no lost causes,
I am most grossly misunderstood.
There are no victims, only necessary losses,
The future is still bright and it’s all good
V I am running for a break,
The only chance I’ll ever have
Don’t know, if I’ll ever get to my destination
But if I break my neck, while on my way
I’ll be OK, a necessary situation.
B Maybe, I won’t see the light
Maybe, fingers I will cross
Maybe, it will be alright
Maybe, I will be that loss
