I lost my eye inside my mind,
Now I only see.
A swirling endless vortex,
Of things so strange to me.

The world around me fades away,
As I look around.
And all the creatures come to play,
Where reality's hard to find.


There's a river made of fire,
And a sky that's almost black.
I hear the sound of a choir,
But they're singing out of whack.

I stumble into a cabin,
In the middle of this dream.
And inside is a strange old man,
Who offers me some tea.


He tells me stories of his life,
And of the things he's seen.
I'm not sure if it's truth or lies,
In this surreal dream.

I pack up my guitar.
Singing songs of the surreal.
I hope to find my way back home,
Where my mind can start to heal.
