Ticks are everywhere in our yard

I would not like Lymes disease
Or have my face droop down you see
It's happened to people we meet
They seem like you and me
There's different sprays to seal your clothes
For several days and still not know
Is that a piece of dirt or has it burrowed in to feast
Not chiggers
They're not flies
But they'll drink your blood all night
They will drain a dog of life
Climbing up your socks to dine
They'll dig in nice and deep
Hiding in the hair unseen
And a year from now you'll find yourself an interesting disease

Inspecting and half guessing
Searching crevices for something
They can cripple any cousin
Anytime throughout the day
We found the perfect tweezers cause you shouldn't use you fingers
Leave a tidbit of it in there and you'll never know what hit you
It will fester and defeat you
Spreading down as it depletes you
When you're playing they can see you sitting shirtless with no shoes
It's bad enough you're in the sun and now your skin is surely done
The perfect host to house them in a hospital half blinded

Cause you heard but didn't listen
Parasitic parasitiformes are bursting at the seams
They're dormant for one season
Will infect you for one reason
Sink their teeth into your arms and head and belly and your feet
