Upon a hill one moonlit night
Riders from the future came with tales of the fight
Dormant now within the signs
There from the beginning.

To the city marked with paper gods’ glory
No weapons wielded except a true story
The Riders sang to lift the veil
From Ganges to the masses.

They said, “Come ye people gather round
Danger is upon you lest you stand up to the crown
You see they prey upon your apathy
Subduing all your senses.”

Shouts of “treason” “black magic” “heresy”
The mob cried for blood and a burial at sea
Shouting, “Oh make them walk the plank
The kingdom won’t be broken.”

Planets turned many moons have since passed
No one could be saved once the banks all collapsed
The signposts that they never saw
Were there from the beginning
