Nachtwache EP by TOTEM OBSCURA
Now that autumn already set in and winter will soon be knocking at our doors, ACYLUM members' side-project TOTEM OBSCURA sent our way some of their universe's dark creatures announcing the switch of season through freezing elektro sounds and melancholic tones. Title song "Nachtwache" has this kind of haunting atmosphere which gives a kind of suffocating mystic touch to this sombre catchy song, while "Wounds Of Silence" shows TOTEM OBSCURA's harsher dark elektro side with its oppressive marching powerful beats and distorted vocals. In addition to these two brand new songs, the German duo also offers us an upbeat tortured mix of the title song by AENGELDUST as well as a club mix of last album's pearl "Hexe"... No surprise that TOTEM OBSCURA's noir melodies were described by the press as the offspring of KIRLIAN CAMERA and HOCICO!
