Each track on this album started as a blank canvas, with no real idea of where anything might land or where we may go. Normally we'd decide on a central idea that we might follow, a mood or perhaps an emotive experience we'd been sharing telepathically in the moment. That's the thing about playing with Brandon Warren, we hardly ever talk about music; in fact, we might talk about basketball more than anything. Once we draw a line in the sand as a starting point, the exploration begins. Textures, abstract frequencies morphing and shifting through a telekinetic sonic lens. Our aural conversations twist and intertwine to reveal something truly unique, something born in a moment, then soon forgotten - but not today!

Tracer Eraser is a collective snapshot of an improvised, exploratory journey we've been taking over the past 7+ years of playing together. This record is a true sonic kaleidoscope of improvised soundscapes, woven together with hypnotic Krautrock grooves, glistening paint strokes of Nils Frahm inspired arpeggios and Eno ambient textures. All three tracks were initially captured on a vintage Tascam 2 inch tape machine in a single studio session with overdubs added later. Recorded by the brilliant Ryan Oxford, mixing by myself and mastering by the iconic John McEntire (Tortoise).
