Symbol– by Al Vomano
The Solemn— Torrid— Symbol— is a triptych musical work by sound and visual artist Al Vomano. It is inspired by ancient mythologies based on the most iconic volcanoes of the world. These legends are charged with archetypal symbols of human existence that manifest in this work through haunting melodies and sometimes destructively manipulated sounds evoking the beauty and terror of these volcanoes.
The title is an extract from a poem by Emily Dickinson.
