An EP of re-imaginings / remixes of the iconic SimCity 3000 game soundtrack - It’s a follow up to my 2021 SimCity 2000 remix EP and is a celebration of world building and the iconic game SimCity 3000.
Huge huge thanks to everyone who has supported the album so far over on Business Casual by buying copies, downloading and streaming – you folks are awesome!
For those interested in the production: the EP used a lot of Yamaha CS1X sounds as a nod to Jerry Martin’s extensive use of late 90’s romplers (Roland JV’s, Korg Triton etc.). I also used a Yamaha SY22 vector synth to create evolving pad textures (mostly because I had access to one when I wrote this and I was blown away by their potential for evolving textures). The bass sounds are all from Yamaha DX21 (bc phat), and a couple tracks have leads made with a PSS-480, for that crispy FM sound.
