My dad died unexpectedly of a stroke, end of 2019. It was an 18-day process 'til the end. Everything here is an ambient sketchbook - sometimes gentle, sometimes noisy - recorded during and after this excruciating time, though there really is no "after". I hope anybody listening to this - who's been through something similar with a loved one- can take some strength from this collection. Let's sit with this thing together, our mutual pains.

This album goes out under my surname, instead of the Giraffes moniker, as it's a personal connection to my dad. Last names are ephemeral, too, I know.
