Sometimes you have to shirk the man
Hop the fence, begone to familiar land
The placed untouched, by many kin
The soothing sounds and sights within
Lonely fields, content and unbothered
Sparrows, sedges, bees and yarrows

Forgotten fields left fallow near the tracks
Wildflowers grown through parking lot cracks
Where nature sings a sentimental song
To mend the hearts of those who follow along
