Travessence by AFTERMAPP

Travessence is the resonant extension of the video-mapping work created for the façade of Saint-Paul in Lyon during the Fête des Lumières 2025 Festival. What began as a visual dialogue between dance, painting, sculpture, and light transforms here into a evolving field of shifting pulses and textures. A single violin line—both intimate and incantatory—acts as the gateway into a symbolic, imaginary landscape.

The album is built around a poem unveiled in full on the final track, sung in an operatic tone by Dez. Tracks 2–5 each embody a fragment of that poem, moving like ritual steps through different emotional states: from ambient reflection to theatrical softness, then into dance-driven momentum and gradually toward darker depths.

The opening track presents the instrumental motif heard in the original installation; the closing track completes the cycle, merging voice, poem, and expanded layers of resonance.

Melodic, textured, and quietly ceremonial. An inward passage carried by breath, rhythm, and reverberating emotion.

A project by Vali Chincișan, dedicated to transforming the original soundtracks of his video-mapping works into self-contained album cycles. Each release is build from the audio created for a specific installation and expands it into a standalone sonic world, exploring rhythm, texture, and the dialogue between human intuition and AI-generated elements.
