Memento by Afterdeath Television

This is a compiled selection and editing of pieces of media that made part of my childhood and early years, both inside and outside the Internet-sphere. It includes samples from a collection of old CDs, music and videos gathered from my experience on the Internet.

In vaporwave, the big majority of artists, especially the old school ones, tend to go with the classic way of sampling content from the 80s and 90s, often emulating a nostalgia of their time - whether to younger audiences or older audiences -, and most times I felt left-out because I couldn't get the many references and participate in the collective memories - they weren't mine. I was born in the 2000s, way after the 80s decade. So lately I decided to make a "vaporwave" album but full of things that made part of my memories, my personal nostalgia. Since I couldn't "be a part of the fun" for being way younger than the vast majority of vaporwave artists - most probably in their mid-20s, 30s and/or 40s -, I made my own fun to be a part of.
