Mindlink from Subneural II by Aerial Resonance
There are always things that get you out of focus, which let you loose your goal and motive out of sight. I am no pessimist, but this always happens to me when I feel stressed out, which happened a lot recently.
And quite frankly I tend to only see the bad things in these situations. It is always easier to focus on something with strong emotions and therefore easier to focus on the bad stuff than on the non existent solutions to a certain problem.
And for me whenever I calm myself down I remember myself of memories from my youth. Of the situations when I didn't know the grief of the world and the hatred around me. When you where playing with your friends, and I am happy enough to have the majority of those around me still.
There were so many happy memories I shared with them and I can still feel how light-hearted I was back than. And this feeling keeps me calm. Looking back and smiling. And remembering that no matter what you find a way and keep going. That no problem is to big to be left unsolved.
I know for sure that everyone of us has that feeling and memories in her or him that keeps us all going.
I started writing this song in a very dissatisfied mood. And I didn't get ahead with it. So I stopped and forgot about it. I discovered where I left of weeks later in a completely different mindset. And this Chorus got into my head. Benjamin and I shared our ideas. And he finished this piece with all of these brilliant ideas.
And now when I look onto how we made this song turn out, how many feelings and different facets we were able to put into it. And how listening to it makes me feel just stunned me.
It is this feeling of overthinking something and not knowing where to go, loosing yourself. This feeling of sinking deeper and deeper. This pressure on your chest which on point makes you unable to breathe.
But this second more distant look on it, which is giving you the solution you were searching for. This relief in which this results. It always reminds me of this light-hearted feeling of my youth, when all this weight is taken from your chest.
Contrast.
When I listened to this chorus for the first time I felt this relief, that this idea turned into more than I would have ever expected to. I felt this calm after the storm. And I was able to focus again. All these Ideas came back into my head.
And suddenly I was this kid again.
