Robert Cranston by Active Melancholy
The name "Robert Cranston" was a moniker I gave myself for a season, and the perspective I write from and about. It's a pretty bleak album...just as a heads up. Not for the weak.
The songs included in this collection are tied with the songs in the "Beauty Comes From Ugly," "Don't Judge A Band By Their Single," "Catharsis," and "The Archer Fletcher" collections. They were all written within a two and half year span. All that to say, these songs are not chronological, but rather categorized by their feeling.
These songs were written, performed and recorded on my laptop in from 2003-2006 in my basement in Parker, Colorado, my dorm room in Savanna, my apartment in Parker, Colorado, my apartment in Denver, Colorado, and my relative's guest room, Florida. They're essentially journal entries in song form.
I've decided to release this album along with many others in order to share what Jesus has done in my life. Not all of these songs are beneficial, but they are permitted/lawful for me according to the Grace given. Listen with care.
I hope these song entries find you where you are and direct you somewhere closer to a joyful fullness within Truth. May God use these songs as He used them with me: to edify.
