Eggzit by Active Melancholy
The name "Eggzit" came from a moniker I gave music endeavors in high school. It's based on a very large pimple I had on my nose that plagued my high school days. It's also a wordplay/somewhat homonym on the word, "exit."
The songs included in this collection are tied with the songs in the "Beauty Comes From Ugly," "Don't Judge A Band By Their Single," "Robert Cranston," and "The Archer Fletcher" collections. They were all written within a two and half year span. All that to say, these songs are not chronological, but rather categorized by their feeling. Further, this particular collection is more of a random one and different versions of songs on other collections.
These songs were written, performed and recorded on my laptop in from 2003-2006 in my basement in Parker, Colorado, my dorm room in Savanna, my apartment in Parker, Colorado, my apartment in Denver, Colorado, and my relative's guest room, Florida. They're essentially journal entries in song form.
I've decided to release this album along with many others in order to share what Jesus has done in my life. Not all of these songs are beneficial, but they are permitted/lawful for me according to the Grace given. Listen with care.
I hope these song entries find you where you are and direct you somewhere closer to a joyful fullness within Truth. May God use these songs as He used them with me: to edify.
