Cusp by Action Camp

We're proud to present our new album, Cusp.

This record is 100% DIY start to finish and five years in the making, so we are eager to finally share it with the world. Sonically, Cusp digs deeper into our heavier and noisier influences without completely abandoning our fondness for airtight arrangement and harmonically-rich hooks. Lyrically, Maura Jacob explores deeply personal and complex topics that naturally come with age and life in a world increasingly torn between compassion and control.

After 16 years we are entirely comfortable in what we are: a band forever between worlds. If our progression as a band shows anything it is that we get bored very easily in one genre or another and are always moving forward to the next idea, but at our best this is what you get from Action Camp - thriving in the cusp.

Action Camp is a Pittsburgh-based trio who blends elements of doom, post-punk and art rock. Now in its 19th year, the band has moved toward a minimal post-punk approach, in contrast to its electronic, sample-heavy beginnings.
