Mental Floss by Amygdala
Anissa Todesco is a Swiss DJ, producer, multi-instrumentalist and record collector, devoted to the underground rave scene in Zurich. Unrestricted by genre or tempo, Amygdala’s tracks and DJ sets alike are a phantom on fire. Her style combines proto-acid punk, early Letfield musics and drum & bass along with infectious techno rhythms and more aggressive industrial bops. An enforcer of the hallucination, Amygdala has the persistent determination to discover and produce distinctive, mind altering cuts, to the rampant rejoice of audiences in her regular underground (sweet) spots. A crate digger by nature, Todesco decodes messages of true freedom sent from previous generations of artists in keeping the rave sub culture alive, while breaking the boundaries of convention with her own fresh interpretations.
Mental Floss is the first full length release from Amygdala, following her recent debut 12” EP on YLGR Recordings.
