As the light slowly fades away I am left encumbered
With feelings of seclusion and thoughts that
Isolate, separate, devastate

The struggle of becoming all alone, left with the sense of forlorn
Left, absent from humanity aware I’m
Dejected, rejected, neglected

My soul has blackened
Numbed through all of my bones
Hardened to stone

Haunted by the revenants of past indiscretions
Reminders of many failures stressing I’ve
To wallow, the hollow, fiasco

The hatred and resentment begin to boil over
And remnants of all hope dwindling down to nothing
It is clear, end is near, wait in fear

The world I once knew exists no more
But what has changed
Through the eyes of the beholder
Their view is deranged

My soul has blackened
Numbed through all of my bones
Hardened to stone

Surrounded by the darkness
Shall I embrace or to repress
