Greatest Hits by Koobaatoo Asparagus
When it comes to contemporary wall noise, this dude can't miss...one of my go-to artists in the era of quick and accessible bandcamp binge-listening.
I always find myself going back to Koobaatoo Asparagus, due to his vast streamable discography (it's nearly impossible to buy all the tapes he puts out). I also admire his authentic personality and oddball sense of humor that begs the question "why so serious?". All of these elements result in themes not often witnessed in the genre...consisting of imagery more akin to cloud rap, g-funk, or just straight absurdity.
Even though the bulk of his recordings are 30+ minutes long, I noticed there are a handful of releases with 8-10 minute tracks. I really like HNW releases that have a variety of shorter tracks, as opposed to one or two long ones, so this birthed an idea to create a release with all of my favorite shorter Koobaatoo tracks, and luckily he was cool with me curating this epic two disc set.
