perseverance by Abbe Shushu

The album "Perseverance" is above all a dream, a desire, a need, a willingness to speak, to write, to discover oneself, to explore the artistic flair that resides in me and let it express itself freely and fully.
That’s one view to the world, a desire to be part of a great work which is to build a better world.
It is an objective reading and analysis of the human evolution and progress, the deficiencies and challenges that the society faced from ancient time up to our present day.
It is also a cry to humanity to remind it that everything has to be reinvented. Laws, societal modes, school systems, models of education, the role of money in our societies.
If we invented monarchy, democracy and communism, there is no doubt that we can’t invent a better model than those three.
Fatality and resignation shouldn’t and can’t be a favorable option for Homo sapiens.
Yes! As humanity, we can have peace if we want to.
Yes! Happiness, joy, love, fraternity, generosity are within our reach, we just have to make the choice that together we will open the door that leads us to this ideal.
So, it is true that we don’t make an omelet without breaking the eggs, as true as the rebirth that we sing with reverence, nostalgia and passion wasn’t easy as our friend Galileo’s says.
We must stand up as one body and one voice and shape this world in the image of our childhood dreams.

Yes! Despite the complexity of the world, our common ideal is the future and it is through action and active consciousness that we will bring it into the light of the day.
So, persevere!!!

Yes! Persevere, follow your dreams as far as you can, the age does not matter, the age you have is very good, the most important thing is to live your life fully and in all consciousness.
Persevere, make your dreams come true.

The album "Perseverance" was made throughout the image of the unpacking goods in the majors’ markets in Africa.
You know, in Africa early in the morning when you go to a big market like the central market or Mokolo market in Yaoundé, you will find a salesman who has a bundle of goods and in this bundle, you have various things like shoes for children, men and women, you have T-shirts, we can go from Nike to Adidas, from Louis Vuitton to Gucci, from Reebok to Yves Saint-Laurent, jeans, polo shirts, shirts, handbags, sweaters all in the same bundle in which everyone will find something according to their tastes and style.
And I grew up in there.
In hindsight, I find it quite exceptional and I realize that kind of atmosphere has shaped and structured my mind and my way of perceiving and understanding things.
So, I wanted the album to be like this image of the salesman’s bundle at Mokolo market.
Perseverance is that unpacking goods moment where everyone can find what he/she needs and likes.
In a few sentences, the album perseverance is an unpacking reflecting the cultural diversity that crystallizes the urban movement of our time.
It is a rainbow of cultures, sounds, rhythms, colors, emotions, languages, stories, poetry, melodies, beauty, love and crazy risk.

from funk to rap, from rap to rock, from rock to afrobeats, from afrobeats to afro electro, from afro electro to trap.
Going through the album we go from the Bantu language to the French, from French to English, from English to Pidgin, from Pidgin to Chinese.
Yes! The album Perseverance is a full of pure emotions overflowed of a universal ideal that is based on the desire to be in harmony with the universe.
