As a child, I often got through rough days at school by imaging that I was one of my favorite fictional characters from comics or science fiction. In case you're unfamiliar with any of the names in the song, Peter Parker is Spider-Man, Scott Summers is Cyclops of the X-Men, whose powerful optic blasts could only be kept in check by his special visor or glasses, and Kevin Conroy, who died recently, was the great actor who voiced the title character in Batman: The Animated Series

At the age of 39, Aaron Smith took his old guitar out of the closet after 15 years, turned the skills he'd learned as a novelist toward lyric writing, learned to sing, and wrote and recorded his first EP, "Red Wolf Mist" over the course of the years 2016 to 2019. His second album, "Sand in the Hourglass" was released in August of 2021.
