James Brook plays an alt folk/ folk punk style. Since the 90's he has combined activism and music, touring Europe and Australia, releasing 11 albums and 4 EP's about his experiences. He has fronted bands Boarding Party, Skreechtramps and the European based punk band Ecowar, as well as his solo work.
A new solo album was released in 2025 showcasing his most polished and mature material to date.
