Idle Edsel came to notoriety as lyricist and vocalist of The Strap-Ons from Norfolk, VA. Originally formed in 1995 as The Pimps, The Strap-Ons would produce 7 singles and 5 albums and appear on numerous compilations.

He has been the vocalist, guitarist and bassist with many other bands including The Candy Snatchers with whom he recorded and toured.
