Considering these folks are so talented and lived down the street, their recordings became a road map for me out of suburbia. A beacon that was the soundtrack to the interstates that took Fatter Than Albert on tours from 2005 to 2010.

It's no coincidence that our DIY label is called 'Community' Records. It's an honor and a joy to be able to re-present these recordings with Strange Daisy.

"Looking back, no single band was more of a springboard for my falling more in love with both recording and music-related photagraphy than Community. The timing was perfect where I had four of my best friends in my favorite new local band, and we were all exploring new creative paths simultaneously that merged. They were maturing musically and changing their sound over previous bands, and I was gaining more confidence twisting knobs, wanted to experiment more, and was finding my way with film cameras. We did everything together: sharing experimental ideas, modifying (some would call it destroying) instruments and gear for an effect, all of us being on the mixing board, and even changing the engine and transmission in their van. At the time I had mostly mediocre gear, as one will hear one of the drum overhead mics randomly cutting out, but we still managed to capture something together that i'm still extremely proud of over 20 years later. It was truly one of the best and most important times of my life.
